Recipe: Irresistible Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Every Saturday morning until November 3, CSR is at the Boulder County Farmers' Market. Pick up free recipes, try scrumptious seasonal samples and gather advice for cooking with ingredients fresh from the market.

Ingredients:

1 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 cups flour
2 cups chocolate chunks
6 oz dried cherries (optional)

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°.
  2. Cream butter and brown sugars on low speed, about 5 min.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla and mix on low speed for 1-2 min.
  4. Sift baking soda, salt and flour. Add flour to the sugar mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chunks and dried cherries.
  6. Drop dough in even spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and freeze for 15-20 min.
  7. Bake for 10 min or until golden brown.
