COOKING VACATION IN BOULDER

Overview
Take a delicious culinary vacation! Culinary School of the Rockies in Boulder, Colorado is the ideal location for a week long or weekend get-away. We offer a selection of appealing opportunities for the recreational cook interested in combining travel with culinary adventure. After a five-hour class (including savoring your creations), enjoy Boulder's unbeatable recreational and cultural offerings.

From May through October, choose from Basic Cooking Techniques, Intermediate Cooking Techniques or Basic Pastry Techniques classes. Spend five days in our teaching kitchen learning the fundamentals of good cooking and baking. Each day, you and your fellow epicureans create a complete meal or a variety of pastries. Learn to rely on your senses and your techniques instead of recipes to create mouthwatering food your friends and family will love.

Throughout the year, Culinary School of the Rockies offers a wide array of two-day pastry and baking classes on a weekend schedule. From Cake Walk to Chocolate Extravaganza to Rustic Bread, enjoy a weekend in Boulder exploring one of these topical workshops.

Spend your mornings in our kitchen and afternoons exploring Boulder's vibrant cultural, recreational and restaurant scene. On Saturdays from April through November, Boulder is home to the largest farmers' market in Colorado. Visit our Chef at the Culinary School of the Rockies' booth for information and inspiration for cooking with the bounty of our local farms.

Boulder offers a variety of lodging options. From small bed and breakfasts to large and luxurious hotels and everything in between, there are options to meet any taste or budget.

Colorado Music Festival
We are privileged to have one of the world's finest music festivals right in our backyard at the Chautauqua Auditorium. Under the skilled baton of Music Director Michael Christie, the Colorado Music Festival thrills audiences of nearly 20,000 each season (typically end of June to mid-August) with programming that embraces the most beloved classical music repertoire, while integrating world music and the works of exciting modern composers. Balanced programming performed by exceptional musicians has earned CMF ten ASCAP awards for "Adventuresome Programming of Contemporary Music," and the kudos of the press and public alike.
