Acceptance
Decisions from the Admissions Committee fall into four categories:

  1. Accept
  2. Deny
  3. Waitlist
  4. Additional Requirements

Accept
Students are notified by mail. The student is sent a detailed Enrollment Agreement, with specific instructions regarding payments, schedules, supply and equipment package, and other pertinent information. To complete the enrollment process, the Enrollment Agreement must be signed and returned to Culinary School of the Rockies with the required payment within two weeks of receipt.

Deny
Applicants will be notified by mail. Students who have been denied admission to a program may contact the School for additional details. If appropriate, students may reapply to a future program.

Waitlist
Applicants will be notified by mail. Students are waitlisted when a program is full. If a space becomes available before the program begins, or within the first three days of a program, waitlisted students will be notified and may choose to enroll.

Additional Requirements

  • Applicants may be required to conduct an observation of a restaurant and to complete a written report about the observation.
  • Applicants may be asked to create items from recipes provided by CSR and write a report about the procedures and results.
  • Applicants may be asked to complete any other assignment as deemed appropriate by the Admissions Committee.
  • Upon completion of Additional Requirements, the Admissions Committee will make a final decision.

International Students
Culinary School of the Rockies cannot provide F1 student visas. International students who have the ability to remain in the country without a student visa may apply. Because of the short length of our programs, international students may find that our programs are feasible. International students applying for the Culinary Arts Program must have appropriate passports, visas and other necessary paper work allowing month-long travel to France.

"I had received so much information from schools that seemed too big, too factory-like, and too expensive. I appreciated the fact that I would have the opportunity to get to know my instructors and have individual attention."
